Space Station SP

 

Most pictures of the Pole show blue sky. That's because it so beautiful when the sky is blue. But, there were many days like this. Cold and Windy.
There have been several strategies used over the years to manage drifting snow. This was in the days of "plow through it!". A tractor was parked inside and the doors open inward. After a storm the doors were opened and the tractor plowed a trench to the outside. The entrance was becoming a sharp, walled tunnel into the main entrance.
The next (and I think current) strategy was to maintain a more open bowl around the entrance.
