South
Pole station did not have ground equipment
for the Herc's that supplied it. The
planes would normally keep their engines
running while we off-loaded and re-loaded
them. Sometimes an aircraft would
"get stuck" at Pole until
another plane could come out from McMurdo.
In this picture, the plane on the right is
jump starting the one on the left.
