Working
in the Antarctic is just that, work. There
are a lot of restrictions and safety
concerns. I had some winter mountaineering experience before I came to the Ice. This was part of a Snow Craft survival school. It was one of the few chances to go camping while on the Ice. I have vivid memories of the canyons of blue ice, the extreme quiet. |
