| Cargo Handling |
| Cargo operations are inherently dangerous. It gets even more
dangerous when the pier is really a giant man made ice cube. Here, the truck got too close to the edge of the ice pier and fell between the pier and the ship. The driver was not in it. There was someone on the top of the truck. He jumped off in time but broke his angle. |
|
| First they hooked a cable to it from the ship to keep the truck and its cargo from sinking. They used the crane to lift it and the tractor on the right to pull it out of the water. | |
| The truck was eventually repaired and the cargo repack. |
