I took thousands of pictures over the years. I entered a few in a local photo contest, part of the Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards competition. This picture was a winner in Sacramento and was forwarded on to the Kodak International competition. The picture received a Certificate of Merit award, one of the 285 awards issued to the 385,000 entries. This picture also was published by Kodak in their 1983 publication of The Joy of Photographing People (page 73) as an example of the use of a starburst filter. |
